1 trivia venue is available in Albuquerque, NM
Albuquerque is Geeks Who Drink's hometown, and the scene here reflects that pedigree. The company that went from a single Albuquerque pub quiz to a national operation still runs nine venues across the metro, from Bow & Arrow Brewing Co. and 505 Central Food Hall downtown to O'Niell's on the far northeast side of Juan Tabo. Santa Fe Brewing Company's Albuquerque Taproom at Cutler Avenue is the most prolific single venue in the city, hosting Geeks Who Drink three nights a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday), which is the kind of commitment you rarely see outside a trivia company's home turf. Brain Gang Trivia holds the second-largest footprint with four venues, including Canteen Brewhouse on Aztec Road and Craft Republic, which runs a Sunday afternoon session. Trivia Mafia has a single outpost at Dripline Brewery downtown. But the majority of Albuquerque's 34 active venues, 20 of them, run independently, and the brewery scene carries much of that weight. Tractor Brewing Company alone has three locations running Wednesday nights (Nob Hill, Wells Park, and Westside), while Boese Brothers, Ponderosa Brewing, Sidetrack Brewing, Differential Brewing, and Flock of Moons all host their own games without a trivia company attached. Wednesday is the dominant night with roughly 12 venues running at once, which makes sense for a city where both Geeks Who Drink and the independent breweries cluster their programming midweek. Tuesday and Monday each offer five to six options, and the scene stretches from Old Town and the Sawmill District through Nob Hill along Central Avenue and out to the Northeast Heights. El Vado Tap Room on the western stretch of Route 66 and Quarter Celtic Taproom on Juan Tabo bookend the geographic range nicely. There's always something within a reasonable drive no matter which side of the Rio Grande you're on.
