DumbAshe Trivia, a name that could only fly in Asheville, runs The Whale Outpost on Mondays and Hi-Wire's RAD Beer Garden on Tuesdays. Geeks Who Drink holds down Mellow Mushroom on Broadway and Bear's Smokehouse on Coxe Avenue. Showtime Trivia has Archetype Brewing in West Asheville, and Two Bald Guys and A Mic hosts at Highland Brewing, one of the city's original craft beer names. But the independents own this town. Fifteen venues run their own nights, and several are worth singling out. Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar does a 5 PM Wednesday quiz that doubles as happy hour in what might be the most atmospheric trivia setting in the Southeast. DSSOLVR on North Lexington and French Broad River Brewery both run Tuesdays. Well Played Board Game Café goes Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM, possibly the earliest trivia start time in the state. The South Slope, Coxe Avenue, and River Arts District corridors are the densest zones for quiz nights. Tuesdays are the biggest night with roughly eight venues running, so that's the evening to plan around if you want options.
