Atlanta's trivia scene is huge, nearly a hundred active venues, but what makes it unusual is how much of it runs without a host company at all. Dirty South Trivia is the biggest operator, hosting at about 20 spots including Fado Irish Pub downtown, New Realm Brewing on the BeltLine, Wild Heaven Beer's three locations, and Little 5 Pub in Little Five Points. OutSpoken Entertainment runs another eight or so, mostly at places like HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern and Mellow Mushroom in Dunwoody. But the majority of Atlanta's trivia nights are fully independent. Bars like Manuel's Tavern, Smith's Olde Bar, Monday Night Brewing, and Cypress Street Pint & Plate all run their own games with no outside host. The scene stretches from Buckhead and Midtown through Decatur and East Atlanta Village out to Sandy Springs and Dunwoody, and the sheer number of bars doing their own thing gives the city a DIY feel that's unusual for a market this size.
