Brooklyn's trivia scene is massive, hyper-local, and mostly DIY. 74 active venues across the borough, with the overwhelming majority running their own independent nights rather than booking through a company. That tracks for a place where every neighborhood bar has its own personality and its own regulars. NYC Trivia League is the biggest organized presence, hosting at 10 venues including Brooklyn Brewery in Williamsburg, both TALEA Beer Co. locations, Black Forest Brooklyn on Smith Street and in Fort Greene, Keg & Lantern in Greenpoint, and Farm.One in Prospect Heights. Geeks Who Drink runs three spots, Father Knows Best in East New York and The Crown Inn on Franklin Ave. Immodest Trivia hosts at Kilo Bravo and Echo Bravo, both in Williamsburg-Bushwick. TriviaNYC covers Birdie's Sporting Club and The Beer Garage in Park Slope. But the real story is the 54 independent venues. Park Slope alone could keep you busy for a month: Paddy's, Halyards, Park Slope Ale House, Rullo's, Black Horse Pub, Mathilde, and Sandy Jack's all run weekly.
