That company is Premier Trivia, which runs nights at 21 venues and effectively sets the tempo for the entire metro. Their footprint stretches from Langdon Street near campus (Camp Trippalindee on Tuesdays) to the suburbs of Cross Plains (Kurniki's) and DeForest (PinSeekers), with downtown staples like the Cardinal Bar on Wednesdays, The Boathouse on Thursdays, and Steenbock's On Orchard for a rare 4:30 PM Wednesday start. Bowling alleys love them. Schwoegler Park Towne Lanes and Spartan Bowl host Monday and Thursday nights respectively. Dream Day Entertainment runs a smaller operation with two Wednesday venues including SconnieBar on Regent Street, while Geeks Who Drink holds down a single Wednesday at Prost! MSN on East Washington Avenue. Imagine Entertainment has the Great Dane's eastside location on Tuesdays, and you'll find one-offs from Rock Valley Pub Trivia and Times of Your Life Entertainment as well. The independent scene is where Madison really distinguishes itself. The Willy Street and Atwood Avenue corridor is especially stacked. I/O Arcade Bar brings a retro-gaming backdrop to Tuesday trivia, BarleyPop Tap & Shop pairs craft beer retail with Tuesday night questions, and Working Draft Beer Company hosts Wednesdays. Echo Tap & Grill on West Main is one of the few venues running both Thursday and Sunday nights. For something different, Garth's Brew Bar on Monroe Street does Tuesday trivia in a tea-and-kombucha-forward space, and Forward Craft & Coffee holds one of the area's rare Saturday night sessions on Atwood. Tuesday is the big night, with roughly 18 venues firing at once, most starting between 6:30 and 7:30 PM. Wednesday and Thursday are close behind. Monday has a solid showing too, especially on the east side and in the suburbs. If you're after weekend trivia your options narrow considerably, but Hidden Cave Cidery in Middleton and Forward Craft & Coffee both hold it down on Saturdays.
