Oklahoma City's trivia market is a five-company scramble with no clear winner. That kind of competition keeps the quality up and the options varied. BanjoBug Trivia is out front with five venues. They run Lively Beerworks and The Hall's Pizza Kitchen on Tuesday nights, Social Capital on Wednesdays, Prairie OKC for a Sunday afternoon session, and The Blok over in the Automobile Alley area on Thursdays. Geeks Who Drink holds three: Stonecloud Brewing Company on Monday, McNellie's on Classen Drive Wednesday, and Frenzy Brewing Company out in Edmond on Wednesday. Hoot Industries matches that with Anthem Brewing Company and Fassler Hall in the Midtown-to-Film Row corridor, plus Cock-O-The Walk on North Western. The independents are what make OKC's trivia map worth studying. There are 13 of them. The Flea in the Film Row district, Bunker Club on NW 23rd, 51st Street Speakeasy on NW 51st, and Parlor in the Deep Deuce neighborhood all run their own shows, and they're some of the most character-rich rooms in the city. Chicken N Pickle on Oklahoma Avenue hosts Monday nights. The Other Room in the Paseo Arts District runs a Sunday evening game that pulls from the neighborhood's creative crowd. Wednesday and Thursday tie for busiest at roughly eight venues each, and the action clusters in a few corridors: the Midtown and 23rd Street strip, the Automobile Alley and Deep Deuce districts east of downtown, and the Western Avenue stretch running north through Nichols Hills. Edmond adds two venues on the northern fringe. The breweries along SW 2nd and 4th Streets give the south side of downtown its own pull. One quirk worth noting is the 8:00 PM start time. About a third of the venues kick off at eight rather than the usual seven, which gives OKC trivia a slightly later personality than most cities.
