Geeks Who Drink and Untapped Trivia each host at about ten venues, and they split the city's attention roughly east-west. Untapped works the inner east side at spots like White Owl Social Club and Grand Fir Brewing, while GWD runs rooms at Hopworks on Powell and Loyal Legion downtown. Rip City Trivia and Last Call Trivia each have about eight venues, and PDX Trivia, Bridgetown Trivia, and ShanRock's Triviology fill in the gaps. Untapped Trivia, which launched in 2016 at a North Portland craft beer bar, is LGBTQ-owned and has raised over $150,000 for local nonprofits, the kind of detail that only makes sense in Portland. Games run every night except Saturday, scattered from Alberta Street to Hawthorne to Beaverton, and the ratio of indie bars running their own quiz to hosted trivia nights is higher here than almost anywhere else in the country.
