The scene is almost entirely independent, with just two national companies maintaining a toehold in a market that mostly does things its own way. Tuesday is the marquee night with five venues. Maumee Bay Brew Pub on Broadway downtown starts at 7:00, The Stubborn Brother Pizza Bar on West Bancroft draws the University of Toledo crowd at the same time, and John's Korner Bar & Grill on Tedrow Road holds down the south side. Bier Stube on Monroe Street goes later at 8:00, and Geeks Who Drink runs Dave & Buster's on the same stretch of Monroe at 7:30. Wednesday adds three more: Quenched & Tempered Brewing Co. in the Jackson Street warehouse district starts early at 6:30, Sporcle hosts at The Distillery on Heatherdowns, and Voodoo Brewing Co. keeps things going on Central Avenue out west. Thursday belongs to 60cc Brewing on North Reynolds Road, starting the earliest in town at 6:00 PM, and Doc Watson's on South Byrne, which starts the latest at 8:30.
