Bloomington is a textbook college trivia town. Twelve active venues cluster around Indiana University, the scene peaks on Monday and Thursday nights, and a local company runs half the show. If you're an IU student or a townie who's stuck around, you've almost certainly wandered into a quiz at some point, planned or not. Bloomington Pub Quiz is the dominant local operation, running six of the city's 12 venues. They've got Monday locked down with three simultaneous games: Big Woods on North Grant, Hoosier Bar & Grill out on West Richland Plaza, and The Back Door on South College starting later at 8:30. Wednesday brings Cardinal Spirits on South Morton at 6:30 and Lennie's Brewpub on East Kirkwood at 8:30, and Friendly Beasts Cider Company on West 2nd fills their Thursday slot. Challenge Entertainment provides the second organized presence with three rooms: Tap Bloomington on North College for Tuesdays, BuffaLouie's at The Gables right on Indiana Avenue for Thursdays, and O'Charley's on Jacob Drive also on Thursday.
