2 trivia venues are available in Rockford, IL

Rockford's trivia is bigger than you'd guess for a mid-sized Illinois city. There are 13 active venues scattered across the metro, from the downtown core along Main Street up through Loves Park and Machesney Park. Tuesday is the marquee night, six bars running games at the same time. That's a lineup plenty of larger cities would envy. Rock Valley Pub Trivia is the homegrown operation to know. They run three venues and set the tone locally. Scanlan's and Culinary Underground both go Monday evenings, a solid one-two punch along Main Street to open the week, and The GOAT Pub and Grill picks up Tuesday at 6:30. Challenge Entertainment brings a second organized option with two rooms: Oscar's Pub & Grill on East State for Wednesdays and Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom next door on Tuesdays. But the independents outnumber the companies here, and they're what give Rockford its quirky, neighborhood-bar character. Ernie's Midtown Pub is a Tuesday stalwart on 5th Avenue. Rural on Tap and Screw City Tavern fill out that loaded Tuesday card, and The Olympic Tavern on North Main holds down Wednesday. Thursday has a three-venue stretch of its own: Bourbon Street Lounge on Perryville Road, The Detour Bar & Grill in Loves Park, and The Mill Saloon up in Machesney Park. Fozzy's Bar & Grill in Loves Park adds another Tuesday option at the earliest start time in town, 6:00 PM. It's a scrappy, unpretentious scene that runs on cheap beer and regulars who know each other by name.
